The Christian Girl Diaries

Learning to love God in all aspects of life.

For the girl who feels stuck

One of the most common problems in life is feeling stuck or complacent. This may be in your routines, life, habits, etc. One of the dangers of feeling stuck is falling into the dangerous habit of comparison. It is so easy to start thinking “well I’m here and this girl is there”. So, how can we combat that while still growing and progressing?

  1. Think about the best version of you you dream to be.
  2. What are the habits of the person you want to be?
    • I’ll use myself for an example:
      • She reads her Bible every day without fail
      • She prays for others without hesitation
      • She doesn’t struggle to get up early in the morning
      • She loves the Lord in all aspects of her life
  3. Start implementing those habits into your daily routine.
    • I know this sounds so simple, but this idea was a game changer for me. I always found myself thinking “I wish I was like that” until one day someone asked me “well, why not?”. It was then that I started implementing the habits of the person I wanted to be rather than the person I was. Please let me be clear that I am not perfect by any means, but this has helped me grow more in the last 6 months than in the two years I struggled with feeling stuck.
  4. Keep track of the ways the Lord has changed you/answered your prayers
    • This will help you see how far you have come.

Prayers and blessings to you all!
